Jeffery Combs, one of the large clutch of associates of Wealth Masters, speaks to build wealth and wisdom through a higher self esteem. A low self esteem is the beginning of sabotage and why do we have it?

Events from the past create feelings; feelings create moods; and moods create identities. We resist change because it challenges our identity as it sets off the right side of our brain to think of what can be, and is pulled back by the left which magnifies what is. This causes resistance and that’s sabotaging.

But there is more to it. And that’s out reticular activation system. It actually decides what we get. For instance when we are about to get married, all around us we see bridal dresses, happy couples and wedding paraphernalia which our activators get extra sensitive to.

Similarly, Jeff says the activators work at all times. Like a search engine for whatever is familiar to us. If we are familiar with struggle, how would the reticular activators present examples of success? Non-deservability sets in and we don’t get what we want.

So what’s the solution? Be gentle on expectation. Change requires time so lower the expectation and heighten the habits and skills. Set times for clearly defined goals that are a week; a month; and 90 days away. Develop a 90-day game plan. And have a daily method of operation. Objectively. So you do not procrastinate. Self esteem is improved by making and keeping small commitments to oneself.

Finally he adds, love thyself. Use the words ‘deserve’ and ‘receive’ frequently. I deserve to receive $1000 this week. Believe that you are enough and wash off your dependencies on others for your success. And it shall be yours!

MLM Successes – did you know…?

I came across a document today that revealed the following MLM successes I hadn’t known about. Interesting…

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway. The story spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers – distributors who had failed. They showed garages full of products they couldn’t sell. During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed infront of his palatial home. He was asked, “Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What’s your secret?” He replied, “There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, ‘No’ and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire.”

Jason Boreyko, co-founder of New Vision, told this story. When he was a distributor in Matol, he signed up 50 people. He heard a lot of “No’s” on the way to those 50. Jason took one man, who he knew would be terrific in the business, to lunch and told him about the business. The man said “No”. Jason took the man to lunch again the next month and gave him some updates. Once again the man said, “No”. Jason sent him some more information and took him to lunch again the next month. Again the man said, “No”. That went on for six months. The seventh month, something had changed for the man, and he said, “Yes”. That man made Jason over one million dollars. Jason also worked through his numbers.

While starting Amway, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, America’s eleventh richest entity, recruited 500 people. 495 dropped out. The five that didn’t quit, built Amway. All $7 billion of Amway’s business was built under those 5 people. Jay and Rich had to work through the numbers.

There are many similar stories.

Jeff, the top money earner in Mannatech, signed up 27 people his first month. One might think that he is especially talented at sponsoring. Actually, Jeff will be the first to tell you that he is not talented at all. In fact, he feels that he did very poorly. To recruit those 27, Jeff talked to 2000 people that first month. And of the 27, the only one who did anything significant with the business was Ray Gebauer, who has more than half of Mannatech in his downline. Jeff’s word to you is this: The numbers never lie. Pick your goal and then get into massive action. If you talk to enough people, you will make it!

Here’s the lesson: Your success is directly related to the degree to which you are willing to work to find others like yourself who are committed to succeed. Jeff’s odds were really 1 in 2000. Would you be willing to go through 200 people to find the 1 who will make you $50,000 a month? Or go through 200 people to become a millionaire? Or hear “No” uncounted times to sign up 50 people and find that million dollar person? I hope you will. It’s easier when you know the odds up front.

But here’s the catch: You have your own set of odds – and you won’t know what they are until AFTER YOU’VE SUCCEEDED. So if you’ve gone through 50 or 100 people and you haven’t found 1 serious person yet, you can either give up and assume the business doesn’t work, or recognize that you are working through your own numbers.

Are you willing to find out what your own set of odds is?

This means that you must pay the price for freedom. Remember that the numbers never fail you. Despite where your skill level is, your success is assured if you talk to enough people. And as your skill improves, so will your odds.

There is no such thing as luck in this industry. Winning big is a matter of being willing to pay the price. Are you willing? Your future is in your hands! The choices which you make today will determine the course of your entire future. Start designing it now…

“Paradigms” By Bob Proctor

No more effort or energy is required in order to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty. You may even be aware of someone who has experienced a dramatic increase in their income, seeing them go from earning $25K or $30K a year … to $25K or $30K a month! I firmly believe that if you can earn $100,000, you can earn a million. The only difference between the two amounts lies in a person’s level of awareness. If and when quantum leaps of this nature take place, you can be assured that a serious paradigm shift that’s been made.

Paradigms – what are they? Is it a buzzword for the information age? It very well may be a buzzword – but it’s one to be seriously considered. If you’re like most people, paradigms very likely are controlling every move you make. So, what are paradigms and why should we be concerned about how they affect our everyday lives? Well, paradigms are a multitude of habits. In most cases, these habits aren’t even originated by yourself, yet they guide every move you make. Paradigms affect the way you eat, the way you walk, even the way you talk. They govern your communication, your work habits, your successes and even your failures in life. It’s also important to know, that, for the most part, these paradigms are other people’s habits – yet they remain the guiding lights in your life.

In order to replace an old paradigm that doesn’t server you (i.e., “I’ve never been able to make more than $40,000 a year), you must lay a new paradigm over that old one, ensuring that it’s sealed from “leaking through again. When you understand how to lay this floor, so to speak, you will expose yourself to a brand
new world of power, possibility and promise.

Paradigms change you to the core

Organizational culture is founded on habits, work practices, attitudes, beliefs and expectations otherwise known as paradigms. Armed with paradigms, we approach and react to the world around us, interpreting what we see and experience according to our shared understandings and those culturally determined guidelines. A paradigm, in a sense, tells you that there is a game, what the game is, and how to play it successfully. A paradigm shift then, is a change to a new game, or a new set of rules. And when the rules change, your whole world can change.

Ideally, any changes to an organization should be implemented simultaneously with a change in attitude of the members. In other words, the people’s paradigms should be shifted at the same time the organization begins its transformation. It’s unfortunate that most of the organizations in the world are not preparing their
people to make the personal paradigm shifts that are necessary. There are numerous individuals who lack the understanding required to adapt to the changes that are being forced upon them.

Think of how the world has changed. There are hundreds of thousands of people walking the street today who went to school, worked hard, studied long hours, graduated at the top of their class, secured employment with a major blue-chip company and bought into the promise that just about every major corporation offered: “If you give us loyalty, we will give you security.”

Twenty years later, as these loyal and misguided individuals stood proudly near the top of their corporate ladder, shouldering responsibility for big mortgages and small children, the corporate paradigm shifted. The ladder was yanked out from underneath them and they found themselves standing on the street, bruised,
demoralized, unemployed and in a state of total shock.

Now, I know most people would say, “The problem is the corporation’s lack of loyalty” … but this is not the case. A job doesn’t owe you anything. People work at a job or for an employer in a mutual sort of relationship, but that doesn’t mean that one or the other party is utterly responsible for the other party’s livelihood. Ninety-some percent of the population keeps getting the same results—year in,
year out!

This is as true for students in school as it is for the person in business. If there is an improvement in the performance of most people, it’s generally minimal—just a blip on the screen and not enough to make any substantial difference in a person’s life-style.

Is there a problem? An enormous problem! It’s called paradigms.

Paradigms can be likened to a program that has been installed in your brain. But you can change that software! The same infinite power flows to and through each one of us, and if we had been taught to develop our higher faculties in the first place, we would understand how and why all things are possible.

You are going to be delighted to learn that just changing a very small part of the old paradigm can make an enormous difference in the results you can enjoy in every area of your life.

Think of the areas in your life that money affects. Imagine shifting your paradigm there to substantially increase your income before year’s end. If you have difficulty meeting people and you alter the paradigm so that it’s easy and enjoyable to meet people, this could have quite an impact on your life.

These are just two examples of hundreds that could be done in YOUR life. Today!

There will be no permanent change in your life until the paradigm has been changed. Choose one or two limiting ideas that are part of your paradigm and replace them with ideas that represent freedom to you. Consciously keep those new thoughts in your head, and act as if those thoughts are already imbedded in the foundation of your life. Before you know it – you life will begin to change – and dramatically!

The difference between S-quadrant and B-quadrant businesses

Robert Kiyosaki wrote the Cashflow Quadrant and introduced the S and B quadrants of business in our vocabulary. They refer to the advice received from Poor Dad and Rich Dad on small traditional business and big cutting-edge businesses respectively. Having been on both sides, I feel fairly competent to explain the practical difference in operations and mindset between the two.

Straight off the bat, Kiyosaki says any organization with more than 500 people must necessarily be run using a system, making it a B-quadrant business . Otherwise it will crash and burn. The skill of the promoters lies in developing the system. And that’s why companies like KFC, Fedex, Walmart, Microsoft and Genpact (to name a few) run on systems and keep growing stronger. But systems need not always be conceived from scratch. Often they are bought.

Microsoft paid Hotmail several million to buy a mailing system. Google has recently acquired FeedBurner to own a blog syndication system and so on. At an individual level too, Kiyosaki says, we can buy systems using personal franchising. By doing so, all we need do to become B-quadrant entrepreneurs is change our thinking, for the system development aspect has been franchised. And thus the foundation is laid for a large business.

So what is this thinking?

The first thing B-quadrant entrepreneurs do is have concrete dreams. They know why they are in business. What they wish to achieve. What contribution they wish to make to society. What is their purpose larger than themselves. Of course they often build on these things progressively, but they do realize from the start that a ‘vision statement’ will be the cornerstone of their business. Otherwise, they will be operating in the S-quadrant all their lives.

Second, B-quadrant business owners are never excuse focused. They are dream focused. You will never have them offer you an excuse for things to go amiss. Which in turn, makes them great leaders. While S-quadrants ‘manage’ situations, B-quadrants lead the way through them. Leadership is a key B-quadrant attribute, which arises from being focused on the vision.

A third aspect of mindset is thinking ‘leverage’. While the S-quadrant will be gratified in being the expert and doing things oneself for his business, the B-quadrant will always seek the means to transfer business processes onto a system. This is well documented in the words of the world’s first billionaire, J Paul Ghetty, “I would rather a hundred people do one percent of the work that I do a hundred percent of it.” Henry Ford expressed a similar sentiment on the lines, “I don’t need to know how things are done. I need to know the people who know how things are done. I focus on ‘why’ they need to be done.”

Quite bluntly, Robert Kiyosaki says, “Poor people work, Rich people network.” And this is a fourth point. Whatever their business, B-quadrants network and associate with other B-quadrant people on a win-win basis. S-quadrants operate from a win-lose paradigm. Networking is about helping others to get what they want. Working is about getting others to what you want. Quite naturally therefore, the S-quadrant is competitive while the B-quadrant is collaborative. This is also because there are less than 10% of the world’s people in the B-quadrant and more than 90% of the world’s wealth is controlled by them.

And finally, as Kiyosaki says in the first chapter of his first book (Rich Dad Poor Dad), “The rich don’t work for money”. B-quadrants work to create assets and that makes money work for them. The S-quadrants can’t rest till they get paid for their effort; and thus stay poor.

From ‘middle class’ to ‘rich’

Want to be rich, not middle class anymore? All you need do is decide to be rich.

For starters, let’s get some definitions clear. ‘Rich’ means you do not spend your time to earn money. ‘Middle class’ means you do not abuse your body to earn money (but you are not rich). And ‘How to’ means a method, a way of doing things.

Let us also assume that a ‘middle class’ person is so because of his upbringing… not because he was a ‘rich’ gone broke.

Now there is a lot to be said about this ‘upbringing’ because it is often the main reason we stay middle class. The root lies in “conformity”. Do what the neighbors do! What will our friends think? Here’s news… hang out with rich friends and conformity will pull you up rather than keep you where you are.

So how do you make rich friends or get in a rich neighborhood? The internet comes to the rescue! More about this in conclusion…

Today, because of the multitude of choices we all have, it is easy to get distracted from where we want to go in life. Robert Kiyosaki, the guru of financial intelligence, says, the first step is to ‘Decide to Be Rich ’.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and start coming in awareness. Watch your words. You will stay middle class if you say…“We’re setting a few dollars aside every month, so we can afford the down payment on our dream home.” Or if you are focused on comfort. “I don’t want to be rich. I just want to be comfortable.”

However, the rich use the vocabulary found in the asset column. The rich are rich because they are not focused on comfort and the acquisition of liabilities using credit, as the middle class is.

The rich are rich because they focus on the long-term acquisition of assets… assets such as stocks, bonds, system-based businesses and income producing real estate. Many times the rich will forsake meals, a steady pay check, a vacation, or the comfort of a nice home, to build or acquire real assets.

Here’s how a Canadian teacher-couple I know stated it in their personal middle-class-to-rich story… I quote 2 gems of their exemplary advice:

"If you’re a renter looking for a new place, don’t just accept what the market has to offer. Instead, put the word out about your good qualities. Great tenants are hard to find. My wife and I placed an ad in the local paper stating that we were two responsible teachers looking for a quality long-term rental. We mentioned the price we’d pay and the exact specifications we sought. Another teacher answered the ad, and offered her place for $180 per month less than nearby apartments. That saved us more than $8,000 over four years – equivalent to a $12,000 pre-tax bonus.’

Notice what they focused on? Their Assets… Themselves!

"Low-cost index funds beat most actively managed mutual funds over the long haul. So when financial planners try to put you into an actively managed fund, tell them thanks, but no. Sure, you might get lucky and pick an actively managed fund that does beat the market, but it’s nearly impossible to pick winners ahead of time. Looking at past performance doesn’t help: the top performing funds of one decade usually lag in the next decade. Pick a guru who buys and holds stocks for long periods (so you don’t end up buying after the guru has sold) then emulate what he’s doing. Warren Buffett would be my choice. His most recent large investments have been in Anheuser-Busch and Wal-Mart. Once you buy, hold on and be patient."

Once again, their focus has been to follow the rich on asset-linked investments.

Now I’d mentioned early on in this article, the internet is a great place to get in a rich neighborhood or make rich friends. Why? Because many forums, and facebook too, house communities of rich-minded people. And entry for anyone is at par. Soon you will learn how to professionally network .

Networks, by definition, are assets for their owners and you can own your part of the world’s biggest network, the Internet!

So snap out of the middle class and ‘decide to be rich’. Join some successful business owners . Watch what they do. Ask questions earnestly. Emulate. And you shall be on your way!

The B-quadrant phenomenon

It was Robert Kiyosaki who opened my eyes to the fact that there is life in the B-quadrant. Through all my education I had learned from Employees (E) or Self-employed (S) people and therefore that defined the boundaries of my limited view of possibilities.

Kiyosaki also explicitly ‘roadmapped’ for me how to learn to move to the B-quadrant and how a network marketing system can be applied to daily life to change one’s mindset forever. In his book, ‘Cashflow Quadrant’ he presents four options that any of us can choose, to drive our life. They are as seen in this diagram… please take a few moments just to read through the quadrant details and absorb them fully…

Now the question to you is, why are most people (90%+) in the left quadrants? And why is most of the world’s wealth (90%+) controlled by the right quadrants? The answer is EDUCATION. Very few of us get educated by (and stay in an environment of) B-quadrant people (Business Owners with 500+ people).

So on the left we are stuck with the knowledge the ‘limits’ our thinking, ‘victimizes’ our outlook and prevents our abundance. The good news is this mindset can change in the company of network marketers, who typically follow a system and the successful of whom are definitely B-quadrant people.

The good news is, anyone can befriend them, if open and willing to make a 180-degree switch… by ‘surrendering’ to a team and a system that one can get for just a few hundred dollars.

Notice, I have used the words ‘limits, victim, abundance, mindset, surrender’ to draw the attention of those spiritually inclined. B-quadrant people are high on the vibratory scale and their quality of connection with the higher consciousness is amazing. I make this observation after studying many such people and urge you to take spiritual elevation as another reason to move from left to right.

In the left quadrants people work alone. In the right, it’s all about teamwork. In fact Kiyosaki is blunt in stating, "poor people work, rich people network." This is another critical switch one needs to make… of NOT being the expert worker… deliberately pushing down the ego… and setting a network of higher energies in motion! Watch this 7-minute film to really appreciate how your keys to success lie on the right side…

Mindset is everything in business as it is in life. You may also call it attitude… and it is all about how we think and respond, whether we are a corporate tycoon, a downsized employee, a home business mom, a student or whatever. Developing the B-quadrant mindset can change everything about your perspective forever. And should you choose to do that, rest assured you have my team to hold your hand on your journey!

How to do online business?

The Internet isn’t as complicated as we think it to be. If you get a hang of a few easy business concepts, online business is simple and fun!

For starters, let’s be sure that it is worth spending your time learning somethings. Because the Internet is not just another communication option anymore. It was originally just that… first only for the defense (70′s – arpanet)… then for education (80′s – ernet)… then for businesses (90′s – b2b)… then for customer-oriented business (b2c)… now for anyone (c2c – not just on the computer but on any mobile gizmo) and soon it will be an embedded chip on our shoulder and everyone’s aura will be connected !

So this medium is like a sixth element and knowing how to use it – and better still, profit from it – is like harnessing water or fire! Sounds crazy, I know… but hey, look around you. There are 3 types of people:

those who make things happen
those who watch things happen
those who wonder what happened

Using this site, you will be in the top class. So is it worth prioritizing some time for this? To my knowledge, no one has put the use of time as well as Steven Covey in the Urgent-Important matrix.

Now it is recommended to spend 70%+ of your life in Quadrant II and less than 10% in each of the other quadrants if you really want to get anywhere other than the mortuary end. These are the 5 things that are Important-but-not-Urgent in Q2.

Shall we examine them one by one, relative to this site and your new-found ‘business life’?

Preparation: What is required of an online business person?

The first thing we need is the right ‘mentality’. Does business mean some kind of ‘lottery’ to you… or does it stand for a process of building up something from scratch, methodically, and with commitment. If it means the latter, please read on… else, you might want to be on the DoOnlineLottery kind of site.

Having said that, I do understand, you might be here to make money faster than off-line… and you probably will. My intent was only to brush off the get-rich-quickers. That you are around, let’s just understand that we’d need to start planning for our business life and prioritize some budget to pick some product/s and plug into some system/s that will get our business/es into the cyber-world.

And that was important… Any F*R*E*E kind of stuff is an exercise is self-consolation and a waste of time. A free business is not getting money from anywhere, so what’s it going to pay you? Obvious but often overlooked. I wonder why people love to ‘feel busy’ evaluating freebies (Quad IV stuff).

Planning: What types of online businesses are possible?

Essentially there are 5 slots into which any online business available for individuals (c2c) would fall:

1. Direct Sales

This is easy to relate to. The internet has cut too many ‘middle-men’ out of the equation. Any company has a product or service to sell. They have researched it, produced and packaged it and now need you to market it. Since you like commissions, you master the ways of selling it online and presto, get paid for it! Examples are many but some meaningful opps are ebooks , google courses , wealth education , home business solutions etc. Clickbank is also a good place to find products to promote and ebay is an age-old market place.

If you are selling your own products or services, that too would fall under this category.

2. Affiliate

Somewhat similar to direct sales, affiliate-ships help you to a web page that could be customized with your name and some details. They typically work for:

online productivity tools (video production , video distribution , website traffic generators , site automation systems , social networking , domain name services , site hosting services etc)
cash gifting (which is entry into a community of people exchanging money )
services (banking , mobile chatting , free ebooks etc)

It is easy to see that you would need some or many of these as you go about your online business professionally, so bookmark this page.

3. Multi-level

The genius of distribution modeling, multi-level networks pay off pretty well for people who do not quit. The biggest problem with MLM is, it is easy to get in and so it is easy to get out. But if you work a networking business professionally – like you might if you had your life-savings invested in it – nothing can pay better. Here’s a must-read article to grasp what you might be missing .

There are many off-line network marketing opportunities, for which online means are great to communicate, establish relationship and keep contact. And there are many pure online MLM business too like chattotext , gdi , evp , me2everyone etc.

Anywhere you hear the word ‘x-by-x matrix’, you know it’s an MLM. If you are open to understand this, nothing does it better than the videos here . Be patient there are lots of them… but in a few minutes a day, they will set your concepts good for sure (and for free because this is the creator’s tribute to the industry).

4. Systemic

What a system is needs to be understood and the article here will help . All I’ll say is, systems do more than just lead marketing mlm , and a business opportunity seeker in mlm can lead effectively as an internet marketer / online business owner. Many systemic online businesses are found in finance and day trading also.

5. Data-based

The opportunities here are more c2b than c2c, so customers can do data entry type work for companies to get paid. Surveys, transcriptions, translations, mturk, writing opportunities, form-filling works are the type of ventures that fall into this category of online business. Less business and more work actually, but that’s what keeps a large number of people in their comfort zone

Prevention: … is better than cure … says it all

Instead of creating Quadrant I crises, preventing problems can give you more time for other Q2 stuff. Online, this would mean better education for instance. Use of systems . Belief in your coach . All of which serve to ‘sharpen the axe’ and prevent losses.

This last reference is obviously to the story of the woodcutter who spent a full day cutting one tree. The wise man told him to sharpen his axe… "by doing so you will cut four trees in the same time." But our man did not do that. Why? He thought he had no time to sharpen his axe!

Are you thinking that way? Are you mostly fire-fighting for survival and therefore minimizing your productivity? Maybe you want to review

Relationship building

This is where the rubber meets the road. MK Gandhi said, "A customer is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so."

You build relationships online and relationships build your business. Period. Of course you can advertise… all the talk about craigslist classifieds, banners, pay-per-click (PPC) and stuff. But all that only leads to the start of the relationship. And that is the business owner’s main focus.

On Web2.0 (the interactive c2c web), there are many forums and chat places… there are also huge hang-outs like facebook and myspace. What do you do here? Build relationships! Imagine these as social parties. You get into the room, make some friends and invite them to your home (your blog) or to office (your business site). Simple. Just as you would behave off-line, behave online. Again, I wonder why many people don’t. Perhaps it is the Q1 addiction taking over. And that brings me to the last point.

Personal development

Nobody trained most of us for business. Especially not for big business, which the internet is perfectly capable of. So I urge you to start this journey with Robert Kiyosaki. His book, Cashflow Quadrant, is the most profound treatise on how to think for life – with or without a business. And if you are going to be with it, even more critical to know
