I already have a fan club of people who think I’ve totally lost it. This topic will add fuel to their coffee table discussions

But what am I to do? I come across these people everyday… like I did last night… who look at a bottle of supplements and exclaim, "700 bucks! I can’t afford that."

Now all of us living in the new paradigm know that this is a self-fulfilling prophecy. He can’t (and won’t) afford that. You shall not end up a pauper… that is guaranteed… but you just might become a whole lot wiser… and that’s for life!

It is recommended you read a post here, titled ‘A time for human consciousness ‘ before you read this.

Moving on from my thought-provoking read of last week, I came upon James Redfield’s ‘Experiential Guide’ to The Celestine Prophecy. And in here it was wonderful to return to the ‘Old and New Paradigms’ of human consciousness.

I am not sure where the origin of the Paradigm Theory lies (please contribute references to comments box below) but I suspect it is in ‘A Course in Miracles’… since the thread is common to Colin Tipping (Radical Manifestation) and Bijan (Effortless Prosperity), both students of the ‘Course’.

I’ve taken the paradigms from the Experiential Guide and added the third column from my experience with network marketing. It was these realizations which in fact banged me well and proper into the network marketing industry!

By way of a prelude put simply, the essential difference between the old and new paradigms is:

Old: We are human beings who have spiritual experiences

New: We are spiritual beings who have human experiences

Now, with this slight shift in perspective, everything of how we view the world, religion, politics, business and parenting among other things, changes. Dramatically.

And creating successful network marketers is probably the most effective way of empowering individuals in the way of the new paradigm. Here’s why:

Last week I read James Redfield ‘s "The Celestine Prophecy". Why this book had escaped me till date I know not. Obviously for a deeper reason than I can as yet fathom. But I couldn’t help being blown away by the ‘coincidences’, to begin with.

For starters, I am amazed at how many people have been writing, speaking and propagating higher consciousness in the last two decades. And how much experimentation has been happening in this field concurrently.

As someone in the midst of it, I find the energy mind boggling. A couple of years ago when I came upon Power v/s Force by Dr David Hawkins , that was remarkable in its identification of the various levels of vibration that encompass human consciousness.

For sake of completeness, I reproduce them here:

What this means is, when you can isolate the emotion you are experiencing in any situation, you can also know how badly steeped you are below the human consciousness average (200). Not only will you do the planet a huge favor by yanking your mental state out of the low vibration you stand at, you can also strive to align your perceptions (views) with higher processes for self-growth.

Much like what Louise Hay writes in ‘Heal your Life’ about the mind-body connection. You can ‘will’ your body to be perfect by programming the mind to think of it that way. (Her diagnostic "List" is always bang-on).

And it’s interesting how Dr Hawkins inter-linked human consciousness vibrations tie in with the theory of ‘Butterfly Effect’ (Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?). Exciting to see where this coming decade leads… obviously many path-breaking insights are yet to surface.

I can go on with these remarkable discoveries but it will be more fun when you do your research. And if you’re like me, you will converge, propel and finance your passion in this subject by operating in the b-quadrant .

However you choose to do it, all I can say is… when they discovered mechanization, you weren’t there… when they discovered quantum physics you missed it… now we are discovering consciousness, so why not be in the NOW? (thanks, Ms Tolle!)

Last week my family and I were in Ladakh. This is a part of the Jammu & Kashmir State, bordering Tibet and China at the neck and head of India. This is also where the Himalaya displays her raw beauty… as a reward for those who brave her higher reaches.

Ladakh’s capital, Leh, perched about 11,500 feet, strikes the visitor as a pretty normal small town… till one figures that one has a mild headache. In a few minutes – or a conversation later – one understands that this is what being in a ‘rarified’ atmosphere does… and that the headache is a symptom of the lack of oxygen in the blood. So a nice long snooze settles the problem and the next day one is ready to explore!

The best parts of the exploration lie 2 to 5 hours away from Leh… and the journey is really the destination (much like the journey to Success ). However, the strong Tibetan influence makes many monastries – like Likir (pic above) and Alchi – good pit stops. Paintings and books over a 1000 years old are preserved like they were created only months ago… bright and vivid in their depiction of Lord Buddha and the stories that went with him.

And then there is nature… white sands (and camels!) at the Nubra Valley and intoxicating blue lakes, like Pangdong, where 7 colors of blue alone form a watery rainbow! This, complemented by sand-sheet mountains – with long strokes that drop smoothly into the horizon – make one wonder if it is a painting one has walked into. And you just can’t miss the colorful flags all over… which (the locals believe) spread the words of peace to the whole world, as the winds carry the messages inscribed on them far and wide (yes, each flag is painstakingly printed with messages of peace!).

While on our way to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers we came upon a unique natural aberration known as the ‘Magnetic hill’. It is a place where your car (in neutral gear) would roll uphill for a stretch that’s long enough to leave you amazed! No scientist has been able to explain this yet… and its occurrence in the midst of mammoth mountains serves as an unmistakable reminder of how small we really are!

Holidaying in the hills I feel is the best recharge fueled by Nature . Though ‘hills’ that take you to 17,500 feet (over 5000 mtrs) could be a bit much But at Ladakh, the balance of nature and Spirituality brews a glorious concoction. Which surely brought all of us back rejuvenated!

Two tips for travelers

One, acclimatize yourself. Do not assume you are of robust body and can move about James-Bond-style anytime in the first 36 hours of landing at Leh. Your body will gradually acclimatize itself to low oxygen and we have heard of dead bodies departing at the airport in 24 hours, just because they overlooked these words of caution.

As network marketers we understand this easily. We caution people to read, listen, use products and associate with their teams… before they go about talking with anyone – especially friends and family. But since the business looks too obvious and inane, most forget the need to ‘acclimatize ‘ and we find networker dead bodies all over the place! Fortunately, with trust, revival is possible in network marketing. At Leh it is not.

And two, experience Ladakh yourself. I too was a victim of the "I’ve seen these sceneries earlier" syndrome from movies and the like. But by day 3, I found myself immersed in the sheer magnitude of the world around me… and the feeling it gives is energizing. Small wonder, many attain enlightenment in the Himalayas.

Back home, it’s like everyone "has seen the Amway-type of things before"… but it is only when you allow yourself to ‘experience’ network marketing fully do you realize what an empowering feeling it produces in you… for life!
