Why creating multiple sources of business income is important for an online marketer

Often I come across people who want to know the ‘next new opportunity’ to make money. I say, that’s not the way to go if you want to make money online. What you need is a business. A business based around you.

You see, when you have many sources to make money and one business model to market it all with, you stay focused and profitable. You stay focused on driving traffic and profitable because someone will always buy something. Moreover, you develop the capacity to sell a lot of related things because you are driving the traffic.

To make this easier to understand, let’s look at an example of a conventional business. Let’s take a hair salon. The salon owner obviously likes playing with hair. Moreover, once the salon has traffic, she probably starts grooming services too. And the facial massages. And then products – herbal and exotic – to make commissions on product sale. And so on… Right?

Same story online. You don’t start by zeroing on the best anti-acne cream with a ‘my cream is better than yours’ slogan. You start by identifying your interest and what you can deliver value with. And build multiple income streams from there on. Doing so keeps you focused and profitable as I mentioned earlier.

As part of the YouInc Star Challenge I have been making some videos to explain concepts of online business and viable approaches. In one I give an example of my area of interest, Qigong. You probably don’t know what that is, but if you explore you will find some life-changing areas on stress-management, meditation, exercise and healing using life force energy.

You are welcome to comment, rate and vote for my video/s. It’s available by clicking the video above and the site that explains Qigong for beginners is right on the link.
